Restore your smile with our state-of-the-art treatments

Restorative dentistry focuses on improving oral health and function. This includes filling cavities, repairing broken teeth, and replacing missing teeth. Procedures may include dental crown, dental bridge, or dental implant. Dr. Ann Ullah, DDS is an expert at all of these procedures, and serves patients from all over North Georgia at her state-of-the-art dental clinic in Cumming, GA.

It is important for overall health to be able to chew properly, and to have correct alignment of your bite. Dr. Ann’s expertise in a wide variety of procedures can restore your bite and smile to keep you on track for excellent oral health.

Fillings

are used to fill holes in teeth caused by decay. The decayed portion of the tooth is removed and is generally filled with a white composite material that matches the color of your teeth. A filling stops additional decay from occurring, and restores the tooth to full health.

Dental Crowns

are used when a tooth is broken, or the decay is too severe for a simple filling. As long as the root portion of the tooth is healthy, and the surrounding gums are in good condition, a custom-crafted artificial tooth can be fitted snugly over the remaining portion of a tooth. The dental crown is permanently cemented into place and provides a long term, durable repair that looks like your real teeth.

Dental Bridges

are used when one to four teeth in a row are completely missing. The artificial teeth are fused together, and the bridge is then bonded to the healthy teeth on either side. A dental bridge is an affordable option to replace missing teeth, compared to a dental implant.

Dental Implants

are the premium fix for missing teeth. A small titanium rod is inserted into the jawbone, and after a healing period, the rod and bone become fused together. A custom crafted artificial tooth is then permanently mounted on the post. This is a very durable, aesthetically perfect, and permanent repair.

Restorative Dentistry may be used in conjunction with Cosmetic Dentistry. Whereas restorative dentistry focuses on the function of the teeth, Cosmetic Dentistry focuses on the appearance of the teeth. Taken together, they are referred to Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.
